OH MY GOSH!

I can’t believe that I can still log into my blog 10 years later!
TEN YEARS!!!

The reason I wanna blog today is because a phonecall.

Before I start my story for today, a short summary of myself in the past 10 years.

1st April 2010, I’ve joined Cambridge Childcare @ Admiral Hill as a teacher. Working life isn’t a bed of roses, I’ve had my fair share of hardship and fun.

26th December 2010, I’ve got married to the love of my life.

April 2011 - we collected the keys to our nest

August 2011 - I’ve delivered a little princess named Celeste, her name originated from our wedding bands which was the Celestial diamond series from Goldheart jewellery

December 2014 - I’ve had a miscarriage

February 2016 - I’ve delivered to another princess name Cerene, her name originated from “Serenity” which I hoped that she would be more tamed and demure (which she wasn’t when she was in my tummy)

May 2016 - my boss from Cambridge came to tell me about her future plans for my career path and then shortly after I returned to work from maternity leave, we realised that she had sold us to another company.

Plans, dreams all shattered. At that point in time, I was thinking of tendering my resignation, but Celeste was already in K1, I wouldn’t like to transfer her out of school. So, tahan for 1.5 more years la!

Came 2017, and I am starting to sort out and plan my future, hubby and I went to Bangkok where I prayed to the famous four faced Buddha, asking for blessings to get either a promotion or a better job offer. 1 month later my new bosses spoke to me about my promotion.

Then December 2017, I delivered my little prince Zac. No meanings for his name, but just liked the sound of it.

I am here now, is because as a principal, we receive phonecall enquiries regarding childcare, infant care etc.

Today, 5th August 2019, I’ve received a phonecall from a lady who sounded so stressed. Her baby is only 3 weeks old and she is thinking to put him in infant care already. She mentioned that her baby wakes up every 2 hour to feed, and she could not rest at all.

I have always been grateful to my mother in law who took such good care of me and my kids especially during confinement. She imparted me with so many advices and suggestions, I in turn imparted to this new mummy.

While I am typing this, I just dropped her a message to check on her. Seems like what o suggested to her really helped her. And I am so glad that I spent time talking to her.

Well, ever since that bloody IT dept has banned internet, I have stopped blogging for sometime...
Anyways, i bought DVDs to office and watched them during the night...
And then one of the doggies in IT came over and barked at me...

AS IF I'D GIVE A DAMN...
No one's around, and I am still doing my job...
Only that I am entertaining myself on top of my job...
What the hell is wrong with that?!

Well... some interesting conversations I had...

With an Indian Nationality...
It was a public holiday eve.. (I think it was 1st May)
IndianMan: Hello Madam, I tomorrow coming ar?
Rinna: Sir, tomorrow we're not open..
IM: Madam, u dont let me coming, I calling police catch u ar!!
Rinna: ... Sir, if u insist on coming tomorrow, the police will catch u instead...
IM: why?!
Rinna: Cause tomorrow we're close, gate close, u want coming, u must climb gate, u climb gate, people see, people call police catch u...
IM: ORH!! tomorrow close ar?! okok~! thank you~! bye bye~!

This was a conversation that made me laughed for a few days...

Seems like the management is going to send us for a 2 week course...
Sounds kinda boring, but on the other hand... heeheehee....

When I tried to recall back, I used to rant for a PSP Slim..
Randy introduced the game of Cooking Mama to me on DS Lite..
And that was actually how I ended up getting a DS Lite instead..

Having Facebook banned on our PCs..
Cherine introduced me to this website where Cooking Mama has a change of heart...


In this game, u have to unfeather a turkey, making your hand bloody and all..
After that, pulling out its organs are gross too...
If u do it well, u will get results from Mama, just like the real game...


But after the gross preparation of Thanksgiving dinner...


In this bonus level, u will make a turkey out of tofu for Thanksgiving...
Similarly, there are results after every step u make..


And thus, the happy ending...

Before I started this post, I actually devoured another suncake..

Cherine was busy typing out the CSO's phonelist..

Cherine: eh, Rinna, u got whose number??
Rinna with suncake in her hands: erm... i eat finish then tell u..
Cherine: why? now hungry nv eat suncake cannot recall har?
Rinna: .. give u now la.. (put down suncake and picks up handphone)

There is a new girl who joined us recently, Cherine and Hamidah couldnt recall her name as I was busy enjoying my suncake..

Cherine: eh, Mida what is that new girl's name ar??
Mida: dunno.. Dini, Dili or what..
Cherine: wahlau.. name so complicated for what...?

While clearing my table of the crumbs left by the suncake..
Rinna: "Delia"..
Cherine: KNNB... eat suncake till dunno how to talk ar?? know her name say earlier la!!
Rinna: hahaha...

When Lily came back from Taiwan, not only did she bought us candies..
She also bought us suncakes, muah-chees and chocolates..

Under much temptation, Cherine and I finally couldnt take it and pioneered in opening the packet of suncakes for consumption..
mmm~~ yummy~~

I first tried having suncake was when dear dear's mummy went to Taiwan and bought some back...
Maybe jie jie did buy, but I dont have much impression already.. I only had impression of the tasty potato chip and chocolates she bought back from Hokkaido... (if im not wrong la..)

After finishing the suncake..
I went to the drawer and looked for more things to eat...

Cherine: ... Rinna, 你是饿到了ha? (in hokkien)

Noting the fact that I just finished lunch less than 2 hours ago..
Rinna: 没有，我嘴巴痒..
Cherine: 真是饿死鬼投胎...

Guess in office I was frequently eating, ranting for food..
And I dont get as much exercise as before when i was at level 1..
Now at level 2, I get to sit in front of the phone and pc whole day long..
Boredom leads to hunger, hunger leads to eating..

As I am typing this post, I am still thinking of the remaining suncakes in the drawers...
Shall I...??

Seems to be guilty of their actions and feared that we would destroy their server comp,

the IT department pasted a sign outside their door...

"No unauthorised persons allowed beyond this point"

KNS leh... then they can happy happy come our office KBKB... so LL lo...
That's why, I am intending to put this sign outside OUR office..

No entry to villians and dogs..

I know it's a lousy sign, but what can i do?
There's no adobe photoshop installed in my pc.. only paint..
Bloody difficult to put the restriction sign around the pug's pic..
Anyway, the pug is cute.. but the IT personnels arent..
I would be digging my own grave if i do this...
When Lim(my manager) comes back from his course, i'd be dead...
So, I just paste this sign outside my partition..


Anyway, so what if they have banned facebook and hotmail??
I still got neopets and other online games to play with..
HMPH~!




Lily is back from Taiwan, and see what she bought for us!!

My favourite candies!!
I loved this type of candy.. It's sweet and very colourful..
But I have vivid memories of me having little cuts on my tongue due to this sweet..
She also bought mua-chees and suncake..
So nice of her..



I WANT TO GO HOLIDAY TOO!!!

I hate the IT department.. they can play, yet we cant...

Hopefully it's just an April's Fool joke and that they will return us the access to Facebook tml..

Oh ya, I didnt mentioned that dear bought me to Suki Sushi at Hougang Plaza for buffet dinner right??
We went on saturday night after work..
Then it happened...

The waiter and waiteresses were seated around a table, chatting and playing..
And when I called one of them for order, she saw me, looked at me, then turned away, pretending not to see..
I fumed immediately, and asked dear dear to pass me the feedback form which was behind him..

Dear: You want to write now meh??
Rinna: Why not?? u saw that too, didnt u??
D: You not scared that she spit into our food ar??
R: ...

Fine, i pardoned her crime on the spot, but went home and sent in a feedback to Suki, WITH HER NAME IN IT!!
The reply wasnt exactly satisfying.. No vouchers, no exact actions that will be taken...
But dear and I made a mental note that we will never return to that outlet again..

Most probably that I'm in the customer service line too, that I am so particular with customer service attitude..
Having being a waitress before, and now in this centre..
Guess that's why ba...

Anyways, our uniforms changed..
Heard that they wanted us to start wearing the new uniform today..
But mine is in laundry.. not returned to me yet...
Once it's back, i will return it to laundry again... haha..
